I wanted to conceptualize a classic discipline in the arts – the self-portrait. The most objective and conceptual way I could think of was to make a suit fitting my limbs like a glove and then transfer all dots, spots, freckles and scars being the elements distinguishing my body from all other bodies.
First I made the suit, secondly I had all moles, spots, scars and visible veins accurately transferred from my body to peaces of see-through plastic. This plastic map was then transferred to the suit by embroidery.
